Speed Metal

Speed metal is a sub-genre of heavy metal music that originated in the late 1970s from NWOBHM and hardcore punk roots. It is described by Allmusic as "extremely fast, abrasive, and technically demanding" music.

Origins

Motörhead is often credited as the first band to invent/play speed metal.Some of speed metal's earlier influences include Black Sabbath's "Children of the Grave", Deep Purple's "Fireball" and Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy" (which was eventually covered by the thrash metal band Metallica), from their 1974 album Sheer Heart Attack, and Deep Purple's song "Highway Star", from their album Machine Head. The latter was called 'early speed metal' by Robb Reiner of speed metal band Anvil.
Speed metal eventually evolved into thrash metal. Although many tend to equate the two subgenres, others argue that there is a distinct difference between them. In his book Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal, Ian Christe states that "...thrash metal relies more on long, wrenching rhythmic breaks, while speed metal... is a cleaner and more musically intricate subcategory, still loyal to the dueling melodies of classic metal."Speed metal's sound varied between various regional scenes. European bands leaned towards the sound of bands like Venom and Motörhead. Japanese bands had a more melodic sound that resembled power metal. North American bands had a faster, more aggressive sound that would later influence the thrash metal movement.

Pre-Hibernation

A song that featured on the Hit Show Spongebob. Now I know that this is a bit unorthodox for this blog but yeah..It's called Pre-Hibernation, and the name of the episode is Pre-Hibernation Week.

Hashirama Senju & Tobirama Senju

Tobirama Senju and Hashirama Senju, the legendary two hokage and brothers of the leaf village. They are both renowned shinobi in the manga/anime Naruto. Tobirama was a member of the Senju clan along with his brother Hashirama — who was the leader of the clan. Decades before the start of the series, Hashirama struck a peace treaty with the Uchiha and its then-leader Madara Uchiha and together the two clans created Konohagakure. Hashirama Senju (千手柱間, Senju Hashirama) was a legendary ninja who hailed from the Senju clan that together with the Uchiha clan, established the first shinobi village: Konohagakure. He would later go on to become the village's First Hokage.

The Summer Slaughter Tour

 The Summer Slaughter Tour is an annual metal music tour originally held in the United States, but now in Europe and as of 2009, Australia and New Zealand.
Summer Slaughter '08 was held in the United States and took place between June 20 and July 28, 2008. There was also a full Canadian portion of the tour between May 23 and June 8. The tour made its Australian debut on March 2009, taking place in five cities, plus one date in Auckland, New Zealand.

Born Of Osiris

Born Of Osiris, a band I began listening to like a few months ago. An American technical deathcore band from Chicago,they were formed back in 2003. Although, this band has been through several name changes before settling with their name including the name 'Diminished', Your Heart Engraved, and Rosecrance. They decided to name their band after the Egyptian Deity,Osiris. This band is currently signed to Sumerian Records, releasing two full length albums, and 2 EP's since their release.
Born of Osiris has played at various festivals including the Summer Slaughter Tour. (2008 and 2009) and the Music as a Weapon Tour 4.

An Update.

  So, I just realized, I started these blogs..Not really caring about it. But after a few months now,I kinda enjoy doing this. Anyway, for people who's been checking out my blogs,um, I know I've been saying it multiple times now, that I would get back into the whole bands thing,and I've been trying,but you know, it's just been difficult with all the things I have going on right now. Um,yeah. I'm sorry guys. I'll really try harder,uh if anyone has a suggestion on a band I should talk about,please, uh do not hesitate to comment.
